RPM Makeup Academy Course | The First Makeup Assignment

Hello Beautiful Butterflies!

Remember when I made the updates post, and I mentioned I was enrolled in a makeup school? Well, in this post I will explain it a bit more!

So the RPM Makeup Academy is an online makeup course. You can enroll in five classes: Artistry Introduction, Master Artistry, Premier Artistry, The Ultimate Artistry with FX Course, and Makeup Artistry only using Mary Kay products. They are not the same price and they are not cheap. However, this course is cheaper than a lot of other courses online.

The instructor is Rain Andreani. She has worked on numberous celebrities faces! Since she is the instructor you will watch videos of her doing makeup and her explaining what you need to know. You also send Rain images of you or your model with and without the makeup. And then she critiques you. She is very nice, and she doesn’t knit pick anything. She tells you want you need to work on and what she thinks you did great on. The only thing I do have to advise you on, is if you send your email and she doesn’t respond in a week to resend the email. There are so many people who send images to her to critique and yours could get lost.

You also have 365 days to complete the course from the time you enroll. I have been told that people usually complete the course in two to three weeks. So you a lot of people don’t need the 365 days. But if you are like me and you procrastinate everything, you will be very thankful for the 365 days!

Within the course you get advice on how to market yourself and how to go about looking for jobs for makeup artistry. I haven’t gotten there yet, but I am looking forward to it!!

When you complete the course, you get a certificate. You can either print it out or they can mail you the certificate.

Now, onto my first makeup assignment.

The first assignment was a three part-er. It was called Photography Print, Red Carpet Makeup, and Fashionista Cat Eye makeup. It sounds difficult but really it’s beautiful and very simple to do! First you start out with the Photography Print look:

Which is a very natural look with a lot of browns.

Then, we had to turn the Photography Print into Red Carpet Makeup:

This one is very me. I love this look and like to wear it everyday! It’s definitely my favorite!

And when we were finished with the Red Carpet Look, we had to turn it into the Fashionista Cat Eye:

This one was very dark for me. I don’t think I can pull of the cat eye very well. But hey, at least I tried! Also sorry for the up close photo being blurry!!

And this is what Rain sent to me:

I am having a lot of fun with this course. I love doing makeup on myself and other people! I hope I will be able to pursue this career!! It seems like it would be a lot of fun!!

Also, I hope you enjoyed this post! If you want me to do more posts like this, make sure to like it! I enrolled in the course with special effects. So I will definitely post those as well! If you want me to post my failed attempts as well, let me know!

(Failed attempts = me not satisfied submitting a photo to the instructor.)

I hope you are guys are having a great day!

Follow your dreams and never give up hope!!
