Christmas is only six days away! Let me say that again. Christmas is only SIX days away!! Where did December go? It seems like yesterday we just started our Twenty-Five Days of Blogmas! Crazy how time flies!! Anyways, since it is Friday! I will share the movies I have been loving this week!!
This movie is absolutely hilarious. It’s also a plus that Tim Allen is in it! He is definitely in the top ten of favorite actors. This comedy movie follows a man on Christmas Eve. He tried to stop a “criminal” that was on his roof. The “criminal” fell from the roof and vanished, leaving his clothes behind. Calvin put on the pants and went up to the roof to find a big red sleigh and some reindeer. He reluctantly saved Christmas and returned to the North Pole. When he woke up he thought it all was a dream because he woke up in his house. However, Charlie – his son – knew it was actually real. After Christmas had past Scott Calvin started gaining weight and turning into Santa. His ex-wife and her husband are worried that he is doing this to gain affection from his son and told Scott that it is “unheathy.” You will have to watch the whole movie to figure out what happens!
The Polar Express:
This is a Christmas classic for me! I use to play the game long before I ever got to watch the actual movie. But, the movie is by far the best! If you haven’t seen it, it is about a boy that starts doubting that Santa actually exists. A huge train comes through the street and stops for this boy. He refuses and then tries to catch up to the train and tries to jump on it. The kid finally got on it and he found out that there other kids on it as well. He also finds out that the train is actually going to the North Pole. A lot of things happen while he is on the train but they finally get to the North Pole. You will have to watch the movie to figure out what all happens at the North Pole and if he finally believes in Santa!
This one is a hit or miss with some people. I know people that absolutely love it or just absolutely hate it. However, it is a hit for me. I will be crying from laughing so much because of this movie. Will Ferrell is another person that is in my top ten actors list! I don’t think this role could be for anyone else besides him! This movie is about Buddy the Elf finding out he is not an elf and travelling to the big apple to meet his actual dad. Of course, his dad doesn’t know about him. So he is freaked out by the elf costume and the fact that he knew his high school sweet heart. Buddy gets thrown out but that doesn’t stop Buddy from still trying to get close to his dad. While he is in New York City he find a pretty girl. Will he ask her out? Will his dad finally accept him? You will have to watch this hilarious comedy to find out!
Movie of the Week:
Radio City Christmas Spectacular The Rockettes:
This isn’t an actual movie. This is a stage performance that was recorded. I absolutely love staged performances. If you don’t, you might not like this. It is mostly music, singing, and dancing. But it my absolute favorite for Christmas. I recently discovered it on Netflix and I loved it. However, the reason I chose it for the “movie of the week” is because at the end it has the story of Jesus being born. There are kids that are gathered around and that read bible verses. They take turns reading as well. I actually very much love this because it shares the reason why we celebrate Christmas. You will have to watch this movie and see how they staged everything! It is quite amazing!
Keeping Christ in Christmas
” 13 Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: 14 ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people He favors!’ “
I am feeling a little bit better than I was yesterday. I did sleep in again. Maybe I am just really tired, I’m not sure.
Thank you so much for reading!! What is your favorite Christmas movie for this week? Make sure you come back tomorrow for another post! Hint: Makeup!!!!!
Follow your dreams and never give up!!
