Losing Weight/Become Healthy | Part 2

I have made a blog about getting motivated and how there are things that are stopping us from being active. Now I am going to write about the healthy ways to lose weight. Fun fact: Thirty-four percent of americans are obese. Maybe half of them are trying to lose weight and maybe half of that half, stop trying because they don’t get the results they want fast enough.
First of all, you need to make sure you want to lose weight for you. If you are trying to lose weight to impress or please others around you, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons. Make sure you want to lose weight because you want to be a healthier version of you. If you dont need to lose weight, you can still do these things to become stronger and healthier.

Next you need to find  the best exercise program for you. If you want to work out at home find some good DVDs where you push yourself, don’t do the same routine everyday. If you want to go to the gym, make sure you push yourself. Again, don’t do the same routine every day. You need to workout different muscles. Personally, I don’t like going to the gym. It’s really hard for me to push myself and do different exercises to work out different muscles.
After you workout, it’s best to have a protein smoothie, shake, or juice. Add healthy ingredients into your concoction, add some protein powder (if there isn’t a lot of protein in the ingredients), and blend. There are plenty of recipes online to follow. Although, its fun just throwing in random healthy ingredients and finding out what it tastes like later. I recommend you invest in a magic bullet or something similar; So you can make one serving for yourself. Grab a little healthy snack to go along with your smoothie and your golden.

Now that you have the right motivation and a good exercise program, you have to eat healthier. Many people complain that they aren’t losing weight when they exercise. You have to eat healthy. You cannot have super fattening junk foods. Also, cut back on how much you eat in every meal. Its better to eat small, healthy meals every 4 hours than it is to eat 3 big meals a day. Maybe you want to get on a strict calorie diet. Determine how many calories you want to eat daily. But don’t go any lower than 1200 colories a day. You need nutrition in your body. Remember: drinks have calories; and yes, you do have to count them. You cannot drink a coke everytime you get thirsty. Limit your daily intake of soda. Instead of drinking five a day, just drink one and drink water the rest of the day. Beauty Tip: water helps your skin become fresh, soft, glowing and smooth.
Its hard to keep motivated after awhile, especially if you’re sore and tired. Power through your workout. Do what you can, but do not slack off. If you kinda-sorta try you will get kinda-sorta results. Take a rest day(once a week), but don’t take a break from eating healthy. You can treat yourself, just don’t treat yourself everyday. Maybe once a week or once every two weeks. Most people like to treat themselves with ice cream or sweets. You can do that, but there are other ways to treat yourself as well.  To treat yourself, do something you love to do but you don’t get to do that much. You can save up money each month and go get a pedicure or get a massage. Maybe you want to go bowling or go putt-putting with some friends. These are all good things to do, and it keeps you moving!

You are not going to get results over night, you will need to work at it. Even when you reached your goal, don’t give up your routine! To keep the results, you will need to keep pushing youself and being active. There is going to be obstacles along the way, like when you should workout. If you are busy during the day workout early in the morning. Not only will it wake you up, but it will jump start your metabolism.
These are all my recommendations to do when trying to become healthy or lose weight. You can be as strict or as lenient as you want. But that factors in on your weight loss journey. Everyones body’s are different; So what works for someone, might not work for you. Experiment and see what works best for you. I really hope this helped some of you. Thank you for reading!!
